About & Vision

Executive Profile

Antonio San Martino is an executive with 25 years of international experience in cybersecurity, risk management and compliance, spanning the insurance, banking, crypto and industrial sectors. He holds a PhD in Informatics and Digital Communications from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona and an Executive MBA from ESCP Business School.

He currently serves as EMEA Cyber Risk Advisor at AIG in Frankfurt, advising C-level executives on cyber risk strategies for sustainable insurance business and supporting compliance with global cybersecurity regulations. Previously, at Honeywell, he led more than 35 distributed security architects in a matrix organisation, built global security practices and directed the Global Cyber Mentoring Program.

Earlier in his career he was Chief Executive Officer of Security Guardian in Barcelona, where he built the company from the ground up — defining strategy, leading R&D and driving business development — and Chief Information Security Officer at Net Transmit and Receive. He also taught at the Universidad Politécnica de Catalunya between 2009 and 2013.

He has advised executive committees and boards on cyber risk, financial crime and crypto-asset compliance, and on regulatory frameworks including GDPR, DORA, NIS2, the EU AI Act and MiCA. He works in English, German, Spanish and Italian.
